The Good Midwife was founded by NHS Midwives and friends Megan and Zoe.

We share a vision to make antenatal education honest, relaxed and current. With 15 years of combined experience working in the NHS across all areas of maternity, we bring this expertise to the course, along with our friendly and approachable nature.

We cover all aspects of birth preparation and what to expect when adapting to life with your new baby. We are passionate about empowering women to have an informed and positive births and deliver our classes with a balanced approach.

We also aim to create opportunities for local parents to build long lasting friendships and support networks, whilst being on hand to support you individually.

Megan

Hi, I’m Megan - one half of The Good Midwife.

I am an NHS midwife and mum to my son Elio, who is almost two! I started my training back in 2012 in London after aspiring to become a Midwife from the age of about 10.

After 8 years in London, working across all areas of maternity in a very busy teaching hospital, I made the move to Bedfordshire. Currently I work as a Community Midwife caring for women and their families from early pregnancy all the way through to after they have welcomed their babies. I also have extensive experience working in birth centres, labour wards and in the home supporting women to birth their babies. I love teaching antenatal classes to inform and empower women and their families.

Zoe

Hello, I’m Zoe - the other half of The Good Midwife.

I am also an NHS Midwife and mum to Molly who is 14 and Albie who is 11 . In my previous life I worked for a global corporation as an Account Manager but I had been fascinated with Midwifery ever since my mum became a Midwife when I was in my 20’s, and even more so after she delivered my baby boy!

I’m currently working on the antenatal and postnatal wards but I also have experience working in the community and on labour ward caring for women and their families throughout their pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
