Refunds and Cancellations

  • All bookings are non-transferable.

  • You may cancel the four x 2.5 hour in-person antenatal course booking at any time by emailing info@thegoodmidwife.co.uk.

  •  Cancellations made within 14 days of purchase will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made after 14 days of purchase but more than six weeks before the start of the course will receive a full refund, minus a £20 administration cost.

  • Cancellations made after 14 days of purchase but between two-six weeks prior to the start of the course will receive a 50% refund of the total cost of the course or the full deposit depending on payment option taken.

  • No refund will be offered for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the start of the course and once the course has started, unless within 14 days of purchase.

  • If using our deposit payment option, the balance must be paid 14 days prior to the start of the course. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if payment is not made.

  • After you have attended the first class, no refunds will be offered.

  • Non-attendance to any session will forego that session due to nature of the course. 

  • In exceptional circumstances a full refund (minus a £20 administration cost) up to the start of the course is discretionary. Exceptional circumstances include admission to hospital or if your baby is born before the start of the course and 37 weeks of pregnancy.

  • The sessions may be run by both Midwives or one Midwife subject to availability.

  • In the unlikely event we need to cancel or alter the dates and venue of our courses, as much notice as possible will be given. If you are unable to attend, you will be offered a full refund.

  • We require a minimum of two couples per group course. If we have not reached this number, we will offer a 1:1 antenatal course in your home (within a 10 mile radius) or a full refund.

    Pandemic / National event

  • If the government imposes quarantine due to a pandemic or national event, virtual group courses will be offered on the same date and time.

  • If you decide not to attend an online virtual group class due to a pandemic or national event, no refund will be offered.

  • All participants of face-to-face courses must adhere to relative government safety guidelines to keep everyone safe.

    Medical advice and personal safety

  • Our courses are run by Registered, practicing Midwives who will provide you with general educational advice on childbirth and postpartum. ©The Good Midwife will provide you with current evidence-based information relevant at the date of the course and in line with professional standards.

  • ©The Good Midwife are unable to provide individual / personalised medical advice. No information provided on the course, email, phone, social media platform or WhatsApp is intended as medical advice.

  • Any issues or concerns with you or your baby must be discussed with your medical professional. We cannot accept responsibility for any complications that could arise during pregnancy, labour, birth or postnatally.

  • Involvement in any physical activity during the course must be in accordance with advice from your GP, Midwife or Obstetrician and only if you feel well enough to participate.

  • ©The Good Midwife cannot accept responsibility or liability for loss, damage or injury to any person or property whilst attending our courses.

  • If one of our Midwives is unwell and unable to run the session, the session will be run by another Midwife from ©The Good Midwife.

  • Participants must treat others with respect and use appropriate language. Any offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. ©The Good Midwife reserves the right to exclude any participants who fail to comply to these conditions. No refunds will be given in this case.

    Privacy

  • ©The Good Midwife respects your privacy rights and will not share your personal information with a third party.  

  • You are under no obligation to join a course WhatsApp group. Please only do so if you are comfortable with this.

  • We may invite guests to join the classes to provide further information or education. Please let us know if you have any concerns with this prior to the start of your course.

  • We may record or take photographs during our sessions. If you are not happy for these to be used on our social media or website, please let us know prior to the start of your course.

  • No photographs or videos should be taken by any participant during any of our sessions.

  • Do not reference individual names or personal details outside of the sessions due to the sensitive nature of the topics being covered on our courses.

    Gift Vouchers 

  • Gift vouchers are digital and will be emailed to the email address provided at point of purchase.

  • If the course cost exceeds the amount of the gift voucher, the balance must be paid in full by credit or debit card at the point of booking.

  • Gift vouchers can only be redeemed against our antenatal course.

  • Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with gift vouchers.

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable (other than within the 14-day cancellation period) and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Lost gift vouchers will not be exchanged or refunded.

    Intellectual Property Rights

  • We are the owner and licensee of all intellectual property rights relating to © The Good Midwife. We reserve the right to change our content at any stage.

  • The workbook provided is for personal use only and not for photocopying or onward sharing.

  • You must not use any graphics, video content or photographs used on our website or social media.

  • Our status as authors must always be referenced.

  • You must not use any part of the materials we own for commercial purposes.

  • These T&C’s can be updated / without notice at any time.
